UCLA X Writing Program
Tantra will employ full audience participation for the event to play with the somatics of writing, reading, and hearing literature, how using the body to write it helps with focus awareness of how it is received in the body of the reader or listener.

Tantra Bensko, MFA, teaches fiction writing with UCLA X Writing Program, Writers College, and her own academy, as well as editing manuscripts.

Her latest book is Equinox Mirror, a Slipstream novella from ELJ Publishing, and her SF novel Unside is forthcoming from Driven Press. It has a sequel and a prequel as well (http://www.insubordinatebooks.com.)

Her stories appear widely in magazines and anthologies such as Strange Little Girls, Surreal South, Unlikely Stories, Camroc Press Review, Holdfast, Chattahoochie Review, Literary Orphans, and Triangulation: Parch. She also writes articles published in magazines such as Entropy and Lantern Tavern.

Her stories and poems have won a variety of honors such as The Iowa Journal of Literary Studies award and the Academy of American Poets Award.

She runs the Everything Experimental Fiction resource site.

Her books have been published by Naissance Press, ISMs Press, Night Publishing, Lucidplay Publications, 10 Pages Press, Dance of Shiva Press, and ELJ Publications.

Her M.A. is from Florida State University, and her MFA is from the Iowa Writer's Workshop.

She lives in Berkeley.
